About GIADIMA

Gianluca GIADIMA (Naples, 1974)

is an Italian opera creator, dramaturg and stage director working across opera, theatre and film. His artistic research focuses on the metaphysical dimension of human experience, exploring love, power, destiny and transcendence through large-scale musical and dramatic forms.

His work is rooted in a dramaturgical approach where structure, music and visual language converge into a unified architectural vision. Rather than separating text, staging and composition, his projects are conceived as integrated artistic organisms.

His current project, Pathetique Melodramma, is a four-act opera built upon Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 6 “Pathétique”. The work unfolds as a dramaturgical embodiment of the symphony and culminates in a newly commissioned Requiem, conceived as a metaphysical completion of the musical and dramatic journey.

Alongside his artistic work, Giadima has spent over twenty years as an Executive Creative Director in luxury and cultural contexts, leading large-scale projects and narrative experiences for international brands including Vogue, Rolex and Piaget. This dual practice — between commercial creative direction and original artistic creation — informs his approach to dramaturgy: rigorous in structure, precise in visual language, and always oriented toward audience experience.

"Un autore vero, muove immagini che vanno al cuore!
Troppi scrittori si limitano a belle parole
che non lasciano nessuna traccia"

I create works where music and dramatic narrative meet

the metaphysical dimension of human experience.
